The Technikmuseum in Sinsheim, southwest Germany, has a very varied collection of aeroplanes and cars on display. One of the highlights of their collection is the Tupolev Tu-144 which is brilliantly situated above one of the exhibition halls and clearly visible from the nearby Nuernburg to Saarbruecken A6 Autobahn. The plane is mounted by it's landing gear on stilts high above the roof which combined with the plane's size is really impressive. Visitors to the museum with a good head for heights are able to enter the Tupolev via steps which enter through the rear door on the right side.
